ROAD AND RAIL NETWORKS, INCLUDING LARGE SCALE OFFICE DEVELOPMENTS ALL REQUIRE FUTURE PROOF DATA TRANSFER THAT HELPS DECISION MAKERS IMPROVE BUSINESS AND OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE.
More importantly as the advance of technology means people receive information on the go, road and rail network managers need a system that will aid the delivery of information in real time. They also need systems that are flexible and can be easily added to with minimal disruption. Our work with organisations such as Greater Manchester Police is a testament to this as it required a backbone network that would enable a free flow of accurate data.
Our team has installed blown fibre projects at Network Rail, including a project in Milton Keynes, which needed to connect a campus of office blocks, with minimal disruption while helping to deliver cost benefits to the client.
Blown Fibre is also preferable over copper wire in that fibre isn’t subject to theft. The UK could systematically deal with copper wire theft by introducing blown fibre across road and rail networks saving the economy and the Government billions of pounds.
We have recently completed a project for GEOAmey. This saw Networx3 install a major data communication infrastructure in all its UK depots. This new network helps the company manage its 2,600 prisoner movements via its fleet of 500 vehicles.
