Rapid Covid-19 testing for Networx3 workforce
Networx3 has introduced rapid Covid-19 testing for all staff to protect its employees and customers.
The workforce – from directors to clerical staff – will undergo regular checks which look for the antibodies that shows whether someone has had the virus.
The Covid-19 test kits, which are imported from the US, work by taking a small sample of blood from a finger prick. The sample is dropped on to a test kit, and once developed it can indicate whether the donor has been infected with the Covid-19 virus.
The test detects antibodies, which are the body’s natural defence against the virus, approximately 21 days after donors have developed symptoms.
The test result is available in 15 minutes, without having to access laboratories, and is 99.4% accurate.
Networx3 commercial director Caroline Earnshaw said: “Health and safety is a big deal at Networx3, it’s a core value and part of our culture. Doing Covid-19 testing is part of looking after the welfare of our staff. We have a duty of care to our staff and employees are very pleased we are doing it.”
It’s been business as usual during lockdown for Networx3’s team of specialist engineers as they carry out work nationwide in sensitive environments on behalf of the government.
Caroline said: “Many of our staff have families, children and people close to them that are at risk and this Covid-19 testing gives them confidence. Nobody has refused to be tested and every test has come back negative which tells me that our safeguarding has worked, it’s paid off.”
